The workshop will be held in the conference room of the
Department of Chemistry,
University of Crete, Voutes University Campus, 71003 Heraklion, Greece.
Local transport:
Direct transport from the hotel area to the meeting venue is organized. The shuttle will pick you up at your hotel.
The departure times are as follows: Monday (11h30-18h00),
Tuesday (8h30-18h00), Wednesday (8h30-xxh00), and Thursday (10h00-16h00). The departure times may be adapted
if needed. Taxis to the airport on Wednesday will be organised during the workshop. Excursion participants
on Thursday will be taken to the hotel or airport if needed.

| Meals: |
Lunch on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday will be catered (~15 € p.p. and day).
You must pay for the lunch tickets during registration on Monday (12-13h). Please bring sufficient
cash money as credit cards are not accepted.
Lunch for the excursion participants on Thursday will be taken on site in a nearby Greek Tavern.
The expenses for the common dinner on Tuesday evening (~ 25 €) must be paid by the participants at the restaurant directly.

| Excursion: |
An excursion to the Finokalia station will be organized on Thursday (1-day trip).
Departure is at 10h from the hotels (arrival at the Finokalia station at 11h30). Lunch
will be taken in a local taverna in walking distance. Return to Heraklion at ~15h30.

Airport-Ammoudara (hotel location):
There are direct buses (N°6) every 15-20 min (duration ~1hr, depending on traffic). Alternatively, you can take any bus
leaving from the airport and passing through the city centre (most buses). Get out at "ASTORIA" station, close to the
Archeological Museum, and change to the bus in direction Ammoudara (N°6 leaves every 15 min).
Airport-University (Voutes Campus):
There are direct buses (N°11) every hour (hh:50) (duration ~1hr, depending on traffic). Alternatively, you can take any
bus leaving from the airport and passing through the city centre (most buses). Get out at "ASTORIA" station, close to the
Archeological Museum, and change to the bus N°8 or 11. Both go to the
University (via Hospital) and circulate every 20 min
(ca. 30-40 min from the city centre).
!Note that there are 2 campuses, you need to take the bus specifying "Voutes campus"!
Taxi:
The fastest solution is taxi at 20-25 € from the airport to the hotels or the university campus.
