Registration:

Please note that the attendance of the first or second representative of each EUSAAR partner is required. If you are unable to attend, please communicate your nominated proxy from within your institution to represent and vote on your behalf (a short email notice will be needed to confirm).

The meeting will be held in the conference room of the CSIC-Spanish Research Council, located in the centre of Barcelona about 50m from the Ramblas: Residència d'Investigadors (Research Accommodation Facilities-Residence), CSIC-Generalitat de Catalunya, Hospital Street 64, 08001 Barcelona, Spain. Recommendation: Barcelona is NOT a dangerous city, but the venue is located right in the city centre and therefore pick-pockets are common in the area. Please take good care of your belongings during your entire stay!

Excursion to Montseny:

A trip to the EUSAAR supersite Montseny will be organized on Friday. It takes approx. 1.5 hours to get there from Barcelona by car (provided by our CSIC partner), leaving Barcelona ~ 9h, getting back at ~ 15h. Lunch will be taken in a nearby village.

(The CSIC residence has an "internet room" on the ground floor, with free WIFI with a password provided by the residence. There are also some PCs with internet access for common use. However, the WIFI signal does not seem to reach the individual rooms.)

Getting there:

Reaching the venue from the airport:

Taxi:
Approx 25-30 Euros from the airport to the city centre, around 30-40 min. (depending on traffic). The address to give to the taxi driver is: RESIDENCIA INVESTIGADORES DEL CSIC CALLE HOSPITAL 64.
Aerobus:
The Express shuttle bus service runs regularly between the airport and the city centre. A single ticket costs 3.75 euros and takes about 25 -30 minutes (depending on traffic). Stops at Pza. Catalunya, from where you will be able to connect with the Metro (1 stop to Liceu) or walk (10 mins).
Train:
The RENFE train will take you from Barcelona airport to the city centre where you can change for the metro system at Catalunya station. Tickets 2.60 euros. Journey time is about 25 minutes.
